Welcome!
Post 1 – 22/4/20. Lets start at the beginning with some information.
We welcome you to a program of learning and development with horses, and a whole new way of looking at horses. Through the Parelli Levels Program you can develop your skills as a horseman, to become an accomplished handler and rider. You can develop a depth of savvy so outstanding that not only will it be obvious to others but will be respected and appreciated by you horse.
This Program is about acquiring depth of savvy with horses.
Before you start, ask yourself these two questions
- Am I prepared to improve myself mentally, emotionally and physically?
- Am I prepared to accept that the horse is perfect and that it is my responsibility to learn how to get along with him?
This Program is a self development program. It teaches you how to become more mentally, emotionally and physically fit so you are good enough to gain a horse’s respect. Most of us have been told or shown by example that the horse is wrong, that he is the one that has to make all the changes, but this is where natural horsemanship is so different. The horse has feeling, thoughts, emotions and needs. They are not motorbikes! The horse also has nothing invested in making you feel good so in this way is a very real mirror of your level of expertise.
This program is not just about reforming horses, its about self development.
If the goal is to have a happy, responsive, willing, performing horse, this program will teach you how to achieve this, over and over again, by teaching you the skills you need to bring this out in a horse. Who do you have to become in order to be able to achieve this in a horse?
Becoming a horseman’s is one of the most challenging and rewarding ventures you could ever undertake with a horse. It requires so much more than just becoming a good rider. A horseman knows and understands horses inside and out.
Horses are our mirrors.
Are you willing to do what it take? Do you think you have enough stick-to-it-ness in your character to reach these horsemanship goals? Can you make it through the challenges, the thick and the thin with your horse without blaming him? We’re only human but if we can dedicate ourselves to this you’ll find that not only do you become better with horses but you’ll no longer become frustrated…you’ll be fascinated by the process of playing with horses. Many of our students tell us how much these new found qualities also improve their personal and business relationship, never underestimate the power of emotional fitness!
Dedicate yourself to becoming horseman’s, to make it through the challenges.
