Coolibah’s accommodation
Welcome to Coolibah, David’s Purpose built horse development facility & cattle property.
For those wanting a little more comfort during their stay. Make sure you book early and secure a private room, with ensuite. Each room has a bar fridge, cupboard desk and reverse cycle air conditioner. Little place to recharge in comfort after a production day with your horse. 4 Rooms available at $66/night. One shared cabin at $45/night or $66/night for one, no ensuite, large room with 2 double beds.
Camping with power is available for every student and is included in the camp price,(each student is responsible for their own camping equipment). A secure horse yard is provided for each horse and yard cleaning equipment is available.
Coolibah Lodge is home to the students, and has a kitchenette, with a BBQ, microwave, kettle, toaster and a share fridge (we recommend brining your own portable fridge when attending a larger number camp), this is our classroom and where we share a meal or 2 together. It has 2 bathrooms with a change room toilet and a hot shower in each.
The students have access to the entire facility which stretches of 500 acres, with 2 x 50 foot round yards for a little warm up at liberty. 2 Large riding arenas and David’s favourite 200 foot round yard, where he enjoys developing his horses and adding a purpose “cows”.
The 8acre playground has a permanent cloverleaf, Q box, figure 8 and weave patterns. Join David at a cow camp and spend a little time on the mechanical cow developing those square turns.
Riding out is not a problem, with miles to go. Enjoy riding through the property with some friends after class or on the weekends, with lots of grazing for your horse along the way.
Gathering cattle at Coolibah is a highlight, in David’s Principle to Purpose with Cows 5 to 10 day camps. This camp is not just about the cows, but a way to learn to add purpose to your horsemanship.
Feel like being a little social, come and enjoy a campfire with a tall story or 2. David is usually around after class, to talk about you and your horse and answer any questions you may have. Camp ovens are a great way to cook, at Coolibah.
Want to stay a while, Coolibah is only 4 kms for Condamine which has a Local Pub, caravan park with laundry mat, and a BP. Only 40mins away is Miles, which has 2 supermarkets, cafe, hardware etc. and a produce store which will make deliveries each week.
Hay is usually not a problem as David will have some on site for purchase, make enquires as to what is available at the time of your horsemanship camp.
Make time and make plans, to join us for a camp at Coolibah, there is a horsemanship course for you! Camp fees and student numbers vary to fit everyones taste and requirements. From a minuim of 4 to a max of 16 students and in between.
